On the first floor, in our unique banquet facility, we host dinners for companies, ministries, press conferences, as well as weddings, birthdays and other special occasions.

STARTERS
GRILLED CARPACCIO
A piece of beef is briefly grilled and cut in thin slices, which are placed on sweet chilli salsa. Served with plenty of fresh green herbs and finely cut spring onions. Accompanied with bread and butter.

 

SALMON MOUSSE
Homemade salmon mousse made from fresh salmon, eggs and cream.
Served thinly sliced with a chilled saffron sauce and dill marinated cucumber. Accompanied with bread and butter.

 

LOBSTER BISQUE
Lobsters are sautéed with herbs, flamed in cognac and blended with cream and white wine into delicious bisque. Accompanied with bread and butter.

 

PLATE OF HERRING
3 different kinds of Nyhavns Færgekro´s best herring, for ex. Crown Herring, Dream Herring and “Sol over Gudhjem”. Accompanied by rye bread and butter.

 

MAINCOURSES
GRILLED SALMON
A filet of salmon is grilled and served with homemade white wine sauce flavoured with cream, served with seasonal vegetables and small butter-fried potatoes.

 

GRILLED GUINEAU FOWL
Grilled Guinea Fowl breast served with sauce made from the delicious morels and cream. Served with small oven baked potatoes and vegetables of the season.

 

LAMB SHANK
Lamb shank served with a tasty sauce made from the lamb stock, the season’s oven baked roots and small potatoes tossed with parsley.

 

ENTRECÔTE
A tender and delicious entrecôte. Grilled and served with hand cut French fries and Nyhavns Færgekro’s homemade herb sauce.


DESSERTS
CHOKOLATE CAKE
Homemade chocolate cake of the finest Belgian chocolate served with fresh berries and homemade vanilla ice cream.

 

CHOKOLATE MOUSSE CAKE
The finest cake of Belgian chocolate on top of a crispy foundation made of nuts with a thin layer of pickled grapefruit.

 

NUTBASKET WITH SORBET
Homemade sorbet made of the fresh fruits of the seasons. E.g. strawberry, raspberry or passion fruit is served in a crispy basket made of nuts.

 

POACHED PEARS
The pears are poached in a brine of red wine with vanilla and spices, served with classic “rødgrød med fløde” and warm chocolate sauce.
